The
French Riviera is well-known for its love of luxury and refinement. This
is why, apart from great hotels and restaurants, the international golf
courses of the Gulf of Saint Tropez are part of our gems. Many meetings
take place on the courses of the Sainte Maxime Golf Course as well as
on those of the Beauvallon Golf Course,

But
one cannot neglect what also happens in the sea world. Saint Tropez's
Sails, the new name of the old, famous Nioulargue, delight the eyes of
those who love beautiful images as well as those of the ones who love
competition and performance. It is up to you to make the most of such
a prestigious setting...

During
the Middle Ages, the Gulf of Saint Tropez was called the Gulf of Grimaud,
as this town's old Castle of Grimaud testifies. Brigitte Bardot changed
that, but the little ones will still see
themselves as knights at Arthur Round Table while grown-ups will enjoy
the breathtaking panorama that reward them for their steep climb. And
on the way down, why not have a coffee on one of the terraces of this
flowered, multicolored and welcoming town?

The
French Riviera can rightly take pride in its coasts, and the area between
Saint Aygulf and Saint Tropez is not an exception to the rule : the
Coastguard Path connects splits, creeks and fine-sand beaches ; while
grown-ups enjoy sunshine, kids can chase after crabs in the rock or built
sand-castles. Diving-lovers will enjoy the lushness of the sea bed, either
with only goggles and snorkel or through diving centres. Protected areas
such as the Tip of Les Sardinaux welcome you for a family meal beside
the sea, and botany parks such as Les Myrtes in Sainte Maxime, or the
Parc Aréca in Saint Aygulf, will teach you the secrets of our local
species, and of many exotic ones, too...
|
And for animal-lovers, Fréjus Safari-Zoo will allow you to have a good look at free lions and zebras from your car. And, only 80 km from Sainte Maxime, the Marineland Park of Antibes will make little ones and grown-ups as well dream, with its sea mammals doing water ballets, and maybe the unforgettable experience of giving a kiss to a killer whale or a dolphin... It would be a pity not to take advantage of your stay to visit the islands of Porquerolles, Ports Cros and Le Levant, real ecological havens for Mediterranean life. The Bateaux Verts organise daily excursions. |

Sails, where the sea seems to come into flower, there are so many multicolored
petals on it.Only a score of kilometers from Sainte Maxime, cinema
enthusiasts will discover the setting of the French television series
Sous le Soleil, unless they decide to take Les Bateux Verts' tour, which

But despite all the charm of the Gulf of Saint Tropez's coasts, it would be unfair not to say a word about several of our inland's treasures. Two hours from Sainte Maxime by car, the Gorges of the Verdon are well-known by all those who like rambling, rafting or climbing, but also by those who love taking pictures, for you will never forget the landscapes you will discover there. The gorges are really up to their nickname of "Europe's Grand Canyon" ! And about sixty kilometers from Sainte Maxime, Grasse, city of perfumes, is waiting to unclose all its secrets and treasures for you. |
